Food Initiatives

Castlemilk has several food-related projects that benefit the community’s residents in a number of ways.This includes Castlemilk Together’s ‘Holiday Food Programme’, community cafes, online cooking groups, and the newly established Castlemilk Food Pantry which increases access to fresh and affordable produce to its members whilst tackling food waste.

Castlemilk Together: Community Food ActionWe aim to work in partnership with the community and others to understand food insecurity, to challenge it and to reduce its impact.

The Castlemilk PantryLocal people have shaped the delivery of the Castlemilk Pantry initiative in response to the demand for better access to affordable and health food. The initiative is a volunteer led supported by our Pantry Co-ordinator.
